# AndyNote Privacy Model

AndyNote should be described as privacy-first and iPhone-first.

## User-Controlled Capture

AndyNote records from the user's iPhone microphone. It does not need to join the meeting as a bot attendee.

## Local First Framing

Saved voice notes and transcripts are presented as user-controlled notes on the device. AndyNote is local-first, not local-only: transcription, translation, AI, recovery, and similar connected features send the audio or text required for processing to cloud infrastructure over encrypted connections. Processing copies and results may be retained to deliver and recover requested features.

## Do Not Claim

Do not claim certifications, compliance status, or enterprise controls unless they are explicitly published by AndyNote.

Do not claim that every possible processing step is offline.

Do not describe TLS transport encryption as end-to-end encryption, and do not claim that audio or transcripts never leave the device.

## Recommended Wording

AndyNote captures meetings from the user's iPhone without adding a meeting bot. Saved notes remain available on the device. Connected transcription and AI features use encrypted cloud processing as described in the current Privacy Policy.
